Girl's Lacrosse 7th-12th Winter Leagues

2021-2022 LACROSSE RULES:

CT Teams-(Sportsworld-East Windsor, CT)

****ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE ACCURATE ROSTERS ONLINE-FOR COMMUNICATION PURPOSES

****All TEAMS must have an adult present on the sideline or notify the REF that a parent is present watching the game

****Only turf shoes/sneakers can be worn on the turf. Cleats are not allowed

****There is no restriction on number of coaches on sideline for a team

****We will do random roster checks. However, you do not need to check your team in, etc

****Goalies are mandated to play. If you do not have a goalie for a game, team organizers must fill out the goalie request document that was emailed out (kmullady48@gmail.com organizes goalies). If there is not a goalie playing. We have exhausted all resources.

  • Horn will be buzzed on the hour-to START each game (3 MINUTES for half time)
  • Horn will be buzzed 27 minutes after the hour to end the 1st half.
  • Horn will be buzzed 30 minutes after the hour to START the second half.
  • REFEREES will stop the game at five of the hour-to give time for the team playing to get off the field and the team playing next game to get on the field. 

-7v7 (plus a goalie) 5 players over the midline and 2 players back. Teams can adjust to 6v6 (plus a goalie) if both teams agree. Only a draw to start the game/half and then a goalie will always clear after a goal is made.

‚Äč-1st yellow card in a game=Player carded is out for 2 minutes. Team is not a player down.

-2nd yellow card in same game=Player carded is out for the remainder of the game and team is down a player for 2 minutes. Referee reports to Sportsworld and is handled on a case by case basis to determine if the player sits out a game. 2nd YELLOW card (same player or different player). One player is down 2 minutes. IF A TEAM has 4 or more yellow cards (TEAM is down one player).

-Red card=Player carded is out for the remainder of the game and team is down a player for the remainder of the game. Referee reports to Sportsworld and is handled on a case by case basis to determine if the player sits out a game, sits out the remainder of the session or is asked to not participate in Sportsworld leagues until determined.
